Yesterday, Tammy and I taste-tested canned tomatoes, an idea we got from reading The Kitchen Counter Cooking School by Kathleen Flinn. Tammy wrote about our project on her blog. I thought some of the foodies out there might be interested in our results and maybe trying such a project themselves. I mean, you get a bunch of food and then spend a happy hour sitting around eating and talking. What’s not to love?
Incidentally, Tammy doesn’t mention this in her post, but I’m the one who first read The Kitchen Counter Cooking School and then I talked about it so much that she finally read it, too.
Sadly, no matter how often I yammer on about The Lord of the Rings, she has yet to read any of the books. Or watch any of the movies.
I KNOW, right? But I love her anyway.

I still haven’t read LOTR, either. Or seen the movies. And we own them. I think I’m a hopeless case on that score, too. :)
It’s okay, Olivia. I accept you.
Since all of us non-LOTR readers are confessing…count me in.
Et tu, Pat?
Honestly, I’ve read them enough times for me and half the population of WNY.
I’m not ALONE!!
Don’t let them encourage you, Tam.
