“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.”

I GOTTA read this book one day.
It’s one of my favorite-favorites. I’ve been thinking it’s time to read it again.
there is a very special book to me called _the meadow_, by james galvin. it follows a piece of land through a hundred years or so, the people and animals who live there, the weather. it has a similar weight and beauty to _river_, i think, and i recommend it highly.
I’ll add that to my list. Thanks for the recommendation!
