Lucas the Poet
Every morning on our walk to school, Lucas and I see a *lot* of litter, which inspired Lucas to compose a poem. Here it is:
Litter, litter everywhere,
Pick a pair of underwear.
There is a big pair of underwear.
Litter, litter everywhere,
You picked a pair of underwear.
And the moral is, “Never let litter use a pair of underwear of your own.”

Lucas caught the writing bug, too! Perhaps he will also decide to write a book, although not for homeschoolers. ;)

Lucas is a poet and he does know it. Although he wants to be a zoo keeper now not a writer.

Correction: he wants to be a zoo keeper who teaches animals how to paint. He has been very clear about this.

You're right as always, we have had several discussions about which animals it would be easier to teach to paint elephants, lions, or orangutangs. I've stuck with the elephants.
