Why Not Have a Second Entry Today?
About the Teeth of Sharks
The thing about a shark is -- teeth,
One row above, one row beneath.
Now take a close look. Do you find
It has another row behind?
Still closer -- here, I'll hold your hat:
Has it a third row behind that?
Now look in and... Look out! Oh my,
I'll never know now! Well, good-bye.
-John Ciardi in For Laughing Out Loud ed. by Jack Prelutsky
(You really need to read that one aloud. John Ciardi is one of my favorite poets for kids.)

Wow, a spit test! How evoloved, all these years I have been using a bite test to gauge how aggressive a child or other animal is, and I could have simply taken a spit sample to a lab...several weeks later gotten results. Ya learn somethin' new everyday!

I know! I feel like this study will have real, practical applications in the Children's Room.
