This Is What I Found While I Was Waiting for Lucas's Bus to Arrive...

I don't get Lucas off the bus very often, and whenever I do, I always worry that I've gotten the day or time completely wrong or that the bus is never going to come or that he won't get off the bus. It's very stressful.
Not as stressful as what's happening in this picture, of course, but stressful nonetheless.

Where's Tammy?

I told Lucas that I put the picture up on my blog (which will only lead to him telling me what I should be posting about for the next month or so), and he smiled like he was all proud of himself but he didn't dish on what, exactly, is supposed to be happening in the picture. I did get quite a detailed explanation of what was going on in another picture he drew of a haunted house, though. He also told me what 7+3+3 equals and then quizzed me on his spelling words.
Tammy is in Albany for a "conference," by which I gather she means hanging out with Emily and Tim for a couple days and then stopping to have lunch with Chuck on her way home tomorrow while Kelly and I are working or staying home baking chocolate cupcakes, whichever the case may be. I have a feeling Kelly might do the working while I do the cupcake baking, though.

No, actually I'll be in the Vet office with my sick kitty, who decide to puke, not once, no twice, but THREE TIMES in the bedroom last night. I don't know how I didn't step on the landmines in the dark.

Oh, no! Poor kitty! Hope she's okay.

Kitty is okay. She has a minor respitory infection that we're (me) going to treat with an antibiotic.

I feel the same way about the bus...
You know what else?? Every time I withdraw money from the bank, I always feel like a fraud. Even with my own account. When I'm at the teller, I try to be extra nice so they'll be sure to give me the money. When I drive away, I always feel like, phew...they let me do it again.
I know, there's something very wrong with me.
You know who I was just thinking about? Todd & Kerry (Carey?). They are the coolest people. I describe them to others as the typical type of people my brother would befriend. Anyone who knows Chuck, knows what I mean.
Chuck needs to tell some Todd stories.

You're right -- she's "Kerry." :) And Chuck should totally tell us stories.
I often feel exactly like that when I'm at the bank, incidentally. I also always feel like I'm going to set off security gates when I go through them, even if I'm not carrying anything.
BTW, did you know that Tammy and Chuck had lunch on Friday WITHOUT ANY OF THE REST OF US? Shocking, really.

We did have lunch together and it was quite fun. I suppose I sort of deserve that since I did leave not one but two messages informing you I was having lunch with chuck and you were not.
As for Lucas you just need to remember, not like other children. Although he did psyche himself out enough to feel sick on the bus yesterday after a couple kids told him he ate a poison jelly bean. Apparently he has another of my traits, the ability to make yourself vomity by thinking, it's how I spent most mornings during 6th grade in the Kendall Bus Garage. I also want to point out the poison jelly bean bully is the one that hit Lucas in the head with blocks hard enough to leave a lump and bruise, quite a feat if you know how hard his head is since he frequently hits on things himself. Anyway I would totally play with the kid's mind if he were ever at the Y when I dropped off Lucas.

And they had the nerve to go to Bangkok and they didn't even order dessert. WHATEVER!!
Chuck--"Rock & Roll!"

I had to get home to the boys and Chuck had to go back to life-sucking Lockheed-Martin.
When are we going to come out to have lunch at Bangkok and a dinner at the Scroger's?

Once the current project is over, I won't have ANYTHING to do until January 2nd, so it would be awesome if you guys would meet us for lunch, then we could all go to the Salt Museum and then I could cook you a wonerful dinner. How about that? If you waited until after Thanksgiving, you can join us for Lights on the Lake before you drive back. Tammy, if you visit us then, you will have visited us TWICE as many times as JJ!!!

This is a good plan. We should do this.
