Benny Helps Make the Bed
It's funny because when it's just us at home, Benny is so cute – but as soon as Other People come into the house, all he can think to do is run and hide or stalk around acting neurotic. It's not that he's that much different from me, really, but I stopped running and hiding when company came over YEARS ago.
I'm not even going to try to create a segue that makes sense here, but have you guys encountered the comfort and joy that is Ben and Jerry's Neapolitan Dynamite ice cream? It's half Cherry Garcia and half some kind of chocolate brownie ice cream. It’s eat-the-whole-pint-right-now wonderful. If you haven't eaten it, you should. It almost makes up for the sad lack of dark chocolate peanut M&Ms in this world.

I'm not a huge ice cream fan (I know, I know...) but if I could work for any company in the world, Ben & Jerry's would be in the top 5.
If location wasn't an issue (if you didn't have to move somewhere) what organizations would you *most* love to work for?

Amanda LOVES being under the sheets. In our guest/junk/changing/hobby/file/laundry/spare room, Amanda crawls under the covers and will sleep for hours under the sheets in the middle of the bed. It's the cutest.

The Shooba (AKA Amanda, AKA Das Sheuben) was all-up-ons last night, sleeping in the crook of my fetal position, which is so dangerous because I like to kick my leg up and onto things in that spot, occasionally.

Personally, I would love to be the children's book buyer for one of the really big library systems -- Chicago, Boston, or one of the systems in NYC. I wouldn't mind moving somewhere for a year or two to see what life is like elsewhere, but I always think that if I bothered to do that, I'd go live in a foreign country, and it would be with the solid understanding that I'll be coming right back to WNY.
The bed making game is why it usually takes me a half hour to get the bed made.
Benny doesn't like to hang out under the sheets much, but Ella will totally snuggle up under sheets or a blanket, especially in the winter.

Emily has let me make the bed and put the fitted sheet in place over her, purring the whole time. Kitties are great. :)
If location wasn't an issue, I'd work for the Baseball Hall of Fame as a cataloger in their library. Too bad they're not closer to Rochester...

My solution to avoiding the making the bed game is to simply not make the bed, unless company is coming over...
