“And the Undead are Like a Bunch of Friends that Demand Constant Attention”
[This morning.]
Lucas: I wish it was Thursday.
Me: What happens on Thursdays?
Lucas: I don’t know.
Me: That’s weird.
Lucas: But it will be FEBRUARY!!! [You could hear the exclamation points.]
[Later.]
Lucas: Aunt Adrienne, when are you coming to read to my class again?
Me: March.
Lucas: I love March! It's my favorite month! And April, too.
For those of you who patronize the Leaf & Bean (my condolences if you live too far away to do so), you simply MUST try their seasonal French Kiss Latte. Yum, yum, yum.
Randomosity: live it, love it. Perhaps I'll find coherence tomorrow.

You should check out stand up comedian Mitch Hedberg if you like randomness. I actually have some of his stuff that you can borrow.
And, Tammy, when I was in high school, I would have argued a 98 to a 99 if I thought I deserved it. I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near even a B+ in your class. I cared much more about school then than I do now.
I also never used to say "fuck."

That boy is such a reflection of us that it scares me.
Dark hot choclate with a 1/2 shot of peppermint is yummy too.

Leave it to the valedictorians to start talking grades. Just for the record, Jason, Tammy would have happily argued her way to better grades had it ever been necessary in school herself. (No, wait, it was once, wasn't it, Tam? Some Driver's Ed project?)
As for Lucas, I think it's pretty amazing the way he continues to adore us. That's going to last forever, right?

I never really much cared for school. Then again I was a freak in school so that may explain things. I did well in school, but I didn't care all that much what kind of grades I got. I just wanted to be interested in the topic. I liked english and art. And sometimes history. I also liked PIG, but that was because the teacher was yummy and I went to an all girls school so we were desperate for cute guys. Even if they were 15 or 20 years older than us. Even in college... well I take that back. Only in library school. I wanted to finally not have to write another paper. Plus the classes were mostly lame and not centered on the real world.
The real world is when you have to wipe the spit off your classes because someone was yelling at you so loud that they spit as they talked.
The real world is not having an office so that you need to attempt to keep clean in order to not kill co-workers with avalanches of catalogs.
The real world is trying to fix the toilet or cleaning up vomit.
The real world is getting up in a girl's face and telling her to get out of the library because she called you an f***ing b*tch theeese close to your face. (imagine if you will).
Okay where was I going with this? Hmm. I was glad to be done with school, and grades weren't that important as long as I graduated... I did fine, btw.
This makes me think that MTV should do a Real World: The library! Or how about Librarians Gone Wild!
Oh and I like peppermint schnapps in my hot chocolate. But only before story time. :)
I think that since becoming a librarian and mother, I don't swear very often at all, and when I do, I giggle like a little school girl because I feel like I'm being naughty.
I think that someone should wash your mouth out with soap Mr. Jason. LOL :) Just kidding. Somehow I don't see you as the f word type (I tried typing it the other way and it just sounded dirty!).
Hmmm. Maybe that's what my story times are missing. Swear words!
Wow. That went on longer than I expected. I must miss you all a lot. Either that or I just have diarrhea of the mouth...

Hmmm. My last comment seemed pretty random too.

Cathy - you were a freak in school in what way? (I ask this as a lover of freaks - I always wanted to be one, but never quite managed to do become it - I was too much of a conformist)

I have some pictures of me wearing a tie dyed t-shirt with a New Kids on the Block t-shirt over it cut off shorts with bright purple stretch pants underneath and a bright purple hat with bells on it.
I guess maybe I wasn't really a freak. I was more a free spirit. I sort of flitted around from group to group making weird jokes and being very silly and obnoxious.
I never really fit in anywhere so I basically said screw it and did what I could.
I guess it was fun but I didn't make any realy lasting friends.

For the record Jason brought up the grade not me, at least not in this post. I did not really have to argue for the better grade in Driver Ed, my Dad went in and pointed out that the only person with an A had a parent on the school board, hmmm, a little favortism? Oh and she had not done all of the work yet either and I had. I find it amazing that I did not kill that man, I would say teacher but I think that is a stretch considering what he did.

Girl, you need to get out more! When's the last time you went to get a facial, or a full body mud cleansing, and a foot massage followed by a tall, strange flavored beer at the Old Toad. I propose we get you out as soon as possible.I'm beginning to worry about you!
Your bestest writer friend,

Hilarity continues. I love hearing exclamation points.
