I think the Jacob's Ladder photo would be great for when you're working on a book with Lane Smith.

It does not surprise me that you recognize Jacob's Ladder when you see it, Alkelda. :) Jeffrey still hasn't let me in on whether he shot me making the same face as my flower puppet on purpose or not.
I have such a crush on Lane Smith.

The blue shirt and black jacket make you look like a sophisticated author, but there's only one pic of you in it. I'd go for that look, but I'm not in love with the pose...
I like the pose in picture 00100003, but think the shirt is a bit too young.
Yeah...I'm picky. :) But at least you know you're getting my honest opinion.

I like the one with the forsythia (sp?) with your hair back but not for the book I think the one in front of the book case in your office will work better on a book.
Use the other as the publicity shot outside the room when your on the lecture circuit.
