Red Bird, Red Bird, What Do You See?
I see an Odd Half-Woman-Half-Chicken Kind of Thing looking at me.
Odd Half-Woman-Half-Chicken Kind of Thing, Odd Half-Woman-Half-Chicken Kind of Thing, what do you see?
I see a Disembodied Head with Wings looking at me.
Disembodied Head with Wings, Disembodied Head with Wings, what do you see?
I see Adrienne taking pictures of us. That’s what I see.
(No disrespect to Marc Chagall. I’m a fan, and I like this piece.)

I also looked at your photos. Nice. It made me think about what you told me about 1% and public art. I wish more cities did that sort of thing. Once, when I was in Chicago, they had cows all over the place that were decorated in different ways (kinda like what they did here with the horses and eagles and whatnot) by different artists. It was very cool. I have pictures somewhere.

I think my favorite is the Monument with Standing Beast.

I rather like them too!

Glad you guys approve!
Jason, When I saw Monument with Standing Beast, I thought of you and that you would like it. That's what inspired me to spend a little more time than I might have exploring the inside, and how fun is it to be able to walk around INSIDE a sculpture?

Hee! Now I really wish I'd had more time to explore Chicago.

I was reading Brown Bear at All-Day Storytime today, and all I could think about was the disembodied head with wings.
