Woo-hoo! Soon, librarians everywhere will be keeping it close at their desks...and then you'll have to post a picture of a well-thumbed, slightly battered one in constant use!

Hurrah! I'm going to tell all of my homeschooling friends.

Congratulations! When will you be on Oprah?
Posted by: Jim at October 22, 2007 10:51 PM
Big congratulations!
Alas, I am no longer either working in the library or homeschooling, but am kind of hoping both are temporary status...

Congratulations, Adrienne! It looks fantastic. I can't wait to read it.
Incidentally, is that your official bio/blurb for the back cover? You mentioned in a previous post how it it was to write... so I was curious.

Good work! It's nice to see the real thing up and running! That seemed so fast. I mean, I'm sure it didn't to you, actually having written it and all. But I just assumed that the editing process would take a long time. Not that you would need a lot of editing...you know what I mean. I just don't know nuthin' bout writin' no books, Ms. Adrienne.
What are you going to do to celebrate? When's the Barnes & Noble appearance?

Congrats, A! Maybe Terri will agree to an after-hours release party in the gazebo?

I say we should throw Ms. A a Leaf and Bean party, sparing no expense. They would close the place up for a private party, wouldn't they? :)

Congratulations to you, Ms. A: Librarian, Administrator, and now Author! You should be very proud of your accomplishments. I hope this is just the beginning of a prolific career as an author. But right now I'm wondering if you'll be going on a book signing tour. Any plans?

Thanks, guys! It's all kind of weird and exciting and kind of surreal. Mostly, I feel very fortunate.
I don't know about a party. A party seems like a good idea; I keep thinking about it. I'll keep you posted.
I have no plans for a book-signing tour yet, Carl, although I will be going to the PLA conference and moderating a Talk Table discussion about homeschooling. That's something.

I am all for the writing career, especially since I would be an awesome assistant! Seriously I will travel with you, carry your bags, answer your phone, etc. You just have to promise there is no Hellmouth in the basement like there is at my current job.
