PLA: Five Weeks Away!

So is anyone else in the Kidlitosphere heading out to Minneapolis for PLA 2008 at the end of March? I’m going, and I am very much looking forward to it. First of all, Meg Cabot is speaking at a luncheon on Tuesday, March 25th. (Chuck is soooooo jealous that I get to see her live. Sorry, Chuck, but this does kind of make up for the fact that you get to meet LBSS before I do. Kind of.) Second, I will be leading a Talk Table discussion about homeschooling on Thursday, March 27th from 10:30-11:45 AM. Speaking of homeschooling, PLA will be the first time I’ll see my book on the shelves at the ALA Store. You’ll know me because I’ll be the one grinning and taking pictures.

I can deal with you seeing live, and possibly meeting Meg Cabbot. I can even deal with the fact that you have the opportunity to have tapas at Solera ( http://www.solera-restaurant.com/ ) in Minneapolis. If, however, you have tapas with Meg Cabbot, I don't think I we can be friends anymore.

I think we'll be safe.

Wow! You lucky dog! I have yet to join PLA (shh!) but am really looking forward to being a member. My library's funding for professional development is a bit on the small side right now, but I hope to be attending PLA in the future. Good luck with your talk.

I'll be at PLA! I'm excited to go...this will be my 3rd year and I'm super excited about being in Minneapolis with the Mall of America. I'm only hoping I actually get to GO to the MoA! :)

MoA is really cool. Kelly and I LOVED Minneapiolis and want to live there for a few years sometime.
