“But I Swear It Was in Self-Defense,” or An Update on Curious George
I haven’t wanted to post about this, because I thought it was too good to be true and maybe it was a figment of my imagination and if I mentioned it that somehow the miracle would reverse itself, but Curious George is gone.
He’s gone, he’s gone, he’s gone, he’s gone.
*Dances around office*
I didn’t do it.
Jason’s the one who got rid of him, which is odd, since Jason is the one who didn’t want to get rid of him. I haven’t asked him why he did it, as we cannot seem to talk about Curious George without erupting into an argument (“It smells.” “No, it doesn’t.” “It’s disgusting.” “It’s not so bad.” Etc.). This all goes to show that if you wish for something long enough, it just might happen.

"A dream is a wish your heart makes/ when you're fast asleep...." I'm betting that George had a movie deal he just couldn't refuse.

I'm shocked! What 'til you read my snailmail letter I sent on Friday. Does Jason still have George???!!!

Jason, Um, grr?
Alkelda, Rumor has it that the back of his head split open (which is, I know, exactly the fate I'd wished upon him, which bolsters the Cinderella theory).
Heidi, It would not be unlike Jason to keep George, but he gave George to one of our Pages, who assures me she's been treating him well in his convalescence. And, OOO! A letter! I completely owe you one.

Maybe George is really in rehab with Fergie and we'll see him soon on an awards show.I'm certain that Adrienne wishes nothing but continued success for them both:)

Congrats! I totally get the urge to get rid of stuffed animals like that in libraries. The most recent school library I was at had old pillows everywhere on the floor. I just kept thinking: Lice.

Momster, HA!
Jules, Momster and I were discussing the very same thing on the phone the other day, and we quite agree.
Heidi, Yes. After all that, I think I would have been sorry to see him go in the trash. I just didn't want him in the Children's Room anymore.
