“Puzzles w ALL the pieces! Actual crayons that aren’t broken—clean toys.”
“You can by Roxy Hunter series. You can have a lego program where you can learn how to build huge towers.”
“You guys should have real ghost storie (Ghost Assoceation).”
“You could get more computers.”
“Get more cheerleading and fairy books in”
“I would like more chapter books”
“always whisper to talk. pretend to talk. read to talk in whispers only in a library”

Eh... that last one has kind of lost me.

Adrienne, I like the last one the best. Sounds like a poem.
As for shelf markers, in kindergarten Jr. stuck his in his eye somehow and scratched his cornea.

Pretend to talk. I feel like I always do that.

I wondered if everyone would be talking about that last one. It's kind of my favorite. The author drew a picture on the reverse of the Idea Form, which was totally fun.
TadMack, I guess it's really more a commentary than a suggestion.
Susan, I've always seen shelf markers as kind of handy weapons.
Jules, I feel that way sometimes myself.

Love the comments about the puzzles and the crayons. That is just wishful thinking.

oh my goodnes...that last suggestion was priceless. Sometimes our patrons tell US that we need to use our library voices. We don't ever whisper in the children's room!

Bridget, Yes, I did think that the person who left that comment (an adult, I should note--the only one in the bunch) probably hasn't worked with children or in an environment like ours before. If we were going to keep the puzzles and crayons in tip-top shape, we'd have to put new ones out every single week. It would get prohibitively expensive.
Kate, That happens to me more frequently than I'd like to admit, although sometimes they just shoot me a shocked look or two.

Before I clicked through to comment, I wondered how many people would focus on the last suggestion. I do think that is has the foundations of something very wise in it.

The child who wrote it is a very frequent (at least a few times a week) library user, so she is a cut above.
