35
According to Wikipedia: “35 is the highest number one can count to on one’s fingers using base 6.”
How bad is it that I am 35 and there is a way to count on my fingers that I do not understand? I only know how to count to ten on my fingers. Ah, well, there’s always 36 next year.

You could understand base 6 if you wanted to--but base 10 fits our fingers best:) I love you and hope you are enjoying the day:)

I like the number 36 better than 35 because 3 is a little trouble maker, and 5 is too self-obsessed to do anything about it. But 6 really cares and 3 responds well to the gentle encouragement she provides. 7 is too busy saving the world to fix 3's problems, so 37 isn't a great number.

Mom, You're right that I go into a bit of an avoidance thing with the numbers. (*whispers* Everyone else, Momster's birthday is TOMORROW.)
Kristen, Thanks! I got the card you sent--it made me laugh right out loud. :) I'm looking forward to seeing you guys Saturday night!
TadMack, PARTY!!!
Chuck, Is this what you thought about when you were putting together the Christmas lights?
Posted by: adrienne at December 11, 2008 04:58 PM
I think I wrote that bit weirdly, since you're the second person who thinks I was the one obsessing about ROYGBIV. It's Kelly with OCD. I cound not care less what order the lights are in.

No, I got it. I was thinking you were concentrating on the relationships between numbers *instead* of ROYGBIV, which is what prompted Kelly to curse.

Happy Birthday!!!!! Someone once told me when you get to be a certain age you just add the numbers together. That makes you older than me!

Happy Birthday! I am emerging from my weeklong sick funk, and am catching up on posts. How did you celebrate?
Posted by: Saints and Spinners at December 12, 2008 12:41 AM
Pat, I can live with that. :)
Farida, Oh, I'm glad you're feeling better! I wound up working during the day and then going to Lucas's chorus/band concert in the evening, which was fun. We all stopped at the library on the way home. I had lots of fun surprises all day long. Tammy brought me a latte and scone in the morning, I had presents, and I was getting "Happy Birthdays" all day long. I think that last bit's my favorite part. :)

Sabrina, I'm glad for the happy birthdays whenever I get them, and, besides, I am also terrible about these things. I'm lucky to know what day of the week it is most of the time.
Linda, Thanks! I got your message last night. We had Lucas's chorus/band concert--so cute!
