Spring Cleaning, the Saga Continues
There are two things that spark my energy to clean like nothing else-one is seeing an ant in the house, and the other is seeing a big spider in the house.
In the last week, I've seen both.
I am currently concentrating my cleaning efforts on dark spaces where I think big spiders might hide, which involves a lot of vacuuming behind things and under things. Mostly, I'm finding a lot of cat toys. I have visions of moving and cleaning behind the stove and refrigerator, which satisfies my need to clean out dark spaces while also helping to ensure that I am denying the ants any reason to come in. Of course, I'm also defying logic, as the one ant I've seen was wandering around in the upstairs bathroom.
If I go, say, a week without seeing an ant or big spider, I'm sure I will forget all about this cleaning and go back to my previously scheduled disinterest in what's going on behind the refrigerator, especially given that I do not have enough metachlorians to even consider moving the refrigerator by myself.

I can top it. When investigating the Dishwasher Issue, I saw mouse poop. And more than a little. So now I'm freaking out, because not only did I see it, but I absolutely cannot stake the full scale cleaning attack that such a discovery requires. At least not until next week.
I know, the horror.

Eek! That would get me going, too. Maybe the new dishwasher will help you feel better about the whole thing?

We had mice once and it almost sent me over the edge 1. because the entire idea creeps me the eff out and 2. I was 8 months pregnant.
I have to admit I am one of those weirdos who love cleaning so this time of year I get all geeked out. But we're not in our house in the US now, so I'll have to wait until we come home in August to let myself loose--windows, carpets, unpacking. I'm smiling thinking about it. Sick! And looking forward to getting rid of sh*t too. We got rid of a ton before we moved over her and when you live without your stuff for a year, I bet it'll be even easier to see what we just. don't. need.
So is there a madness to the mess that was your office? Again, I was a weird with a eat off the desk cleanliness BUT I was also a piler and you always have to have a junk drawer or two...

Cheryl, Most of the time, I do know where most of the stuff is in my chaos, but with all my travels this past winter, I felt like I wasn't in control of everything going on in my office, which was disturbing.
I was just saying to a friend last night that I don't want to move, but I do kind of want to go through and get rid of stuff with the urgency of moving, because I just have way too much stuff around here.
