Thanksgiving

“A good story, no matter how modest, is a form of prayer.”
-Lee Siegel, “Children’s Books” in the New York Times Book Review (February 11, 2007)

May your Thanksgiving be full of stories, and food. Lots and lots of food.

Have I mentioned that it's smelling really good here? Two hours until we feast!

I managed to scorch the braised apples, so now it smells like Thanksgiving.

Cheers to you, Adrienne. Happy stories to you and yours.

Oh I love that quote. (I like to collect prayer quotes, and I'm not even a church-goer. Go figure.)

I guess I just figure that prayer can be different things to different people.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving!

Great time, as always! Was tickled by Max's invitation to his "birt-day!" LOL

Tanita, I bet scorched braised apples are just fine. :)

Jules, I quite agree with you.

Olivia and Sabrina, Thanks for coming! I had a great time, too. That's a holiday I truly enjoy.

Also, that Max is such a nutter. I have GOT to tape more of his fun way of talking before he loses it all.

Happy Thanksgiving! We went out to a restaurant for the Thanksgiving meal, as we had more guests than room in our home, but last night my husband made a yummy Syrian roast chicken dish and for dessert cooked poached pears with star anise in port wine sauce.

Wow, Farida, that sounds good. :)

Farida, DUDE. I'm drooling, just *reading* about that meal.
