Adrienne Forgets to Consult the List in Her Pocket at the Tween Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

See that blue slip of paper in my pocket? That is the list I made telling me what I should say in my introductory remarks at the ribbon cutting ceremony we had last night for our new area for older kids at the library. When this photo was taken, I was making those remarks. I might have, you know, LOOKED AT MY NOTES. When there are a lot of people around, I just kind of lose my head.

Also? The only reason you can see my head in this photograph is because I am standing on the stool we keep around so little kids can reach the sink.

Jason's prep work:

And I quote: "It's not like this is the first time I've ever vacuumed."

Lists always go out the door when people are looking at you.

...no, but it's good to have photographic proof, just so we can be sure it happens. You know, just in case.

Thanks, Mom! :)

Tanita, Indeed, and I do rather look like I am directing traffic there. Either that or I'm showing everyone where the emergency exits are.

Tam, You have much more self-possession in those situations than I, I think.

Oh, man. You put the worst of the two pictures up! :)

Oh, but I love that look on your face! It totally says what you said out loud just a moment later. I just wish the photo wasn't so dark.

I am only composed in front of teenagers because I face them everyday, staff meetings are getting easier though.

That photo of Jason is GREAT! The look conveys his love of all things housework related, and a smidge of possible retribution.

I imagine he's forgotten about it by now. ;)
